Rustic Textured Buttercream Fall Wedding Cake at Morais Vineyards, Warrenton VA

Vineyards are a popular venue for beautiful weddings, and this wedding at Morais Vineyards in Warrenton, Virginia was no less! 

Cupcake Novelties created an elegant 4-tier wedding cake, to serve 175 people, iced with rustic textured buttercream along with an edible handmade carved heart with the bride & groom's initials.

All four tiers were our delicious made from scratch carrot cake, using fresh ingredients, including 8 lbs of organic carrots, grated by hand!

The cake was filled and iced with yummy cream cheese buttercream and placed on a wine barrel cake stand, perfect for a lovely vineyard wedding!

All the guests and the wedding couple loved the wedding cake, and we received a note full of praise from the bride!

The bride also ordered a surprise Groom's cake a day before the wedding, at Morais Vineyards for the rehearsal dinner. It was an unusual cake, in the shape of a Cheetos chips bag! More on that soon!!

Cupcake Novelties at the Blue Ridge Bridal Show Winchester 2014!

Cupcake Novelties was a part of the Blue Ridge Bridal Show held on January 26, 2014 at the Millwood Station Event Center, near Costco, Winchester.

This is the 9th year that the Blue Ridge Bridal Show is being held, and it is a great show every year! This was the 3rd year for Cupcake Novelties with the show, and it only gets better each time!

Brides & grooms, their moms and friends, as well as fellow vendors loved our display, and it was lovely to meet them all!

We also got a lot of compliments on our yummy cake samples -

New cake and cupcake designs for the year debuted at this show!

• A vintage ivory wedding cake with ruffles, a quatrefoil pattern & elegant pearls

• Rustic textured buttercream cake with raffia and sunflowers - great for a country, barn or rustic Fall wedding!

• A Half & Half wedding cake - one side depicted a white and blush pink floral design, and the other side depicted Batman!! People loved this concept!

• A pink 2-tier cake with buttercream ruffles roses on the bottom tier and a quilted design with pearls on the top tier - this can be a wedding cake or a cutting cake on a cupcake tower!

We also had cupcakes, cake pops and Chocolate-covered Oreos designs on display!
